UPS posts strong first quarter earnings

FRITZ PARENT company UPS has posted a better-than-expected quarterly financial performance. For the quarter ended March 31, 2002, which had one less working day than the prior-year period, revenue totalled $7.58 billion (R75,8bn) , up 1.9%. This reflects strong growth in the company's international export volume and supply chain business.
