On 08 July 2025, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an update of “The Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports List” relating to tariff subheadings 7210.70.20, 7210.70.30, 7210.70.40, and 7210.70.50.
The tariff subheadings under tariff heading 7210.70 “Painted, varnished or coated with plastics:” are described as:
- 7210.70.20 Of a thickness not exceeding 0,20 mm
- 7210.70.30 Of a thickness exceeding 0,20 mm but not exceeding 0.45 mm
- 7210.70.40 Of a thickness exceeding 0,45 mm but not exceeding 0.80 mm
- 7210.70.50 Of a thickness exceeding 0,80 mm but not exceeding 1.60 mm
