On 06 January 2026, Türkiye notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Safeguards that it had initiated, on 31 December 2025, a safeguard investigation into imports of terephthalic acid, classifiable under tariff subheading 2917.36.00.00.11, for which comments are due by 31 January 2026.
