Transporters and motorists are warned that there has been a major oil spill on the R537 about 14 kilometres outside White River.
From what can be deduced it has already led to an accident.
A source told Transit Assistance Bureau “Transist” that a “timber truck rolled there”, losing its load of logs.
“It’s a massive mess and it looks like nobody’s going to clean it up. People are going to die there if they hit that oil.”
