Transportation of Cargo - Customs Practice Note - COVID 19

On 6 April the South African Revenue Service (Sars) announced that Customs had clarified an amendment to the regulations published on 02 April aimed at easing escalating port congestion by providing for the “transportation of cargo from ports of entry to their intended destination, on condition that necessary precautions have been taken to sanitise and disinfect such cargo.”
