WORLD MERCHANDISE Exchange (WOMEX), a global electronic on-line merchandising communication system that links manufacturers, retailers and trade-related parties in 135 countries around the world in a private intranet community, has just been launched in South Africa.

Womex connects buyers and manufacturers of a range of products (with the exception of perishable goods) globally on the Internet through an Intranet. Orders can be placed through the system 24 hours a day.

Background information on the manufacturer ranging from company history and bank details to a contact name and number through which the financial position of the company can be established, is available.

The system is being marketed locally by Alec Massel International Trading and Business Consultants.
