On 03 May 2016, the WTO announced that the EU was contributing €600 000 to the WTO’s Trade Facilitation Agreement Facility (TFAF) to help developing countries and least-developed countries implement the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), the WTO’s first multilateral trade deal in 20 years. This follows Finland, who a day earlier contributed €160,000. Over the last 15 years, the EU has donated €17 million to the WTO trust funds and Finland €12 million.
