Safmarine threw an impromptu surprise party for FTW last week in celebration of our 40th birthday. When Gauteng regional executive Peter Andre arrived at our offices last Tuesday, ostensibly for an editorial interview, he brought with him reinforcements – a Safmarine team who presented us with 40 custombaked cup cakes, each individually branded and inscribed to commemorate 40 years for FTW and 67 for Safmarine. Safmarine was the first advertiser on page 1 in the first issue of FTW’s predecessor Freighting News Fortnightly and has been a loyal supporter for the past 40 years.
