Starting a business in SA demands patience

BUSINESS PEOPLE need to learn the art of patience if they want to start a new venture in Africa. According to the Africa Development Indicators 2007 released by the World Bank last week, it takes 35 days to start up a business in South Africa and nine procedures to register one. On the investment side, around 600 days are required to enforce contracts for investment, after having followed 26 procedures.
