RAY SMUTS STAR Reefers has, as part of its strategy to secure modern, long-term, reefer tonnage, agreed with a Japanese owner to time-charter for ten years two new vessels - subject to board approval by both parties. Each with a capacity of 585 000 cbft, the vessels will be built at the Shikoku yard in Japan and are additional to two newbuildings time-chartered from the Japanese owner at the end of last year.
