On 24 April 2015 five Government Gazette notices were published by the Minister of Trade and Industry, one in respect of (i) the issue of new standards, (ii) the amendment of existing standards, and (iii) cancellation of standards; and four in respect of the proposed amendment of compulsory specifications.
In terms of the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) Act, the proposed amendments of compulsory specification relate to (i) personal protective equipment: safety footwear – VC 9002; (ii) frozen fish, frozen marine mollusc and frozen products derived therefrom – VC 8017; (iii) frozen shrimps (prawns), langoustines and crab, and products derived therefrom – VC 8031; (iv) circuit breakers – VC8036.
