Solid partnership spans 12 years

A SOLID partnership with one of the largest independent and neutral NVOCCs in the USA and Canada is one of the reasons for consistent growth in the market for local groupage operator CFR Freight, according to chairman Uli Hatesohl. CFR’s partnership with Shipco Transport spans 12 years, a period that has seen growing volumes of imports and exports moving on the route. The company offers named-day direct services for exports from South Africa into Chicago and New York, which act as transhipment hubs to any destination in the USA and Canada. Imports from any part of the USA and Canada are shipped via New York, Charleston and Chicago direct to Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Shipco has nine offices and 31 terminals (pack and unpack facilities) in the US and two offices and three terminals in Canada. CFR deals exclusively with the freight forwarding industry and while seafreight is its major market, an airfreight consolidation service is also available.
