Software development company
Easyclear is set to grow its
client base in the Western
Cape and has appointed a
salesperson in the region.
“The Western and Eastern
Cape have always been
strategically
important
for trade
considering
the amount
of seafreight
moving
through
the ports
of Cape
Town, Port
Elizabeth
and East
London,”
said
Easyclear
general manager, Michael
Henning.
He said that having an
on-the-ground presence in the
Western Cape was strategic
from a cross-border perspective
as well. “Namibia’s plans to
create a Southern African
Development Community
(SADC) gateway port in
Walvis Bay and emerge as a
major regional contender for
seafreight imports and exports
internationally cannot be
ignored,” said
Henning, noting
the Western
Cape’s proximity
to the country.
The Western
Cape is also a big
seasonal exporter
of perishables
to Europe
and abroad
and Easyclear
therefore has a
number of clients
in the region.
The Motor
Industry Development
Programme (MIDP) –
which aims to grow vehicle
manufacturing and exports – in
the Eastern Cape, provides
another opportunity for growth
in the region, said Henning.

INSERT & CAPTION
The Motor Industry
Development
Programme provides
an opportunity for
growth in the region.
– Michael Henning
