Schedule reliability continues upward trajectory

Global schedule reliability is continuing to trend upwards, increasing by 0.5 percentage points month-on-month (m-o-m) in July to 40.5%.

This is the second time since the start of the pandemic that it has improved year-on-year.

The average delay for late vessel arrivals has also been dropping sharply this year, tapering off a little in the past few months. In July, average delay improved by -0.09 days m-o-m, which means that the delay figure is now firmly below the seven-day mark, and an improvement over the respective 2021 figure.

Maersk continued to hold top spot in the reliability stakes, followed by Evergreen and CMA CGM.

Evergreen has staged a remarkable turnaround – from fifth from the bottom in April to second place this month.

For the full year 2021 it was bottom of the pile, averaging 16.9% reliability.
