The South African Poultry Association (Sapa) has issued a warning about “scam artists posing as suppliers to the industry”.
The scammers appear to be particularly using hatchery equipment and point-of-lay pullets as part of their strategy.
“Please be aware of fraudulent companies posing as South African poultry producers and or suppliers on the internet,” says Sapa.
“The fact that these websites are using the Sapa logo does not mean they are legitimate.”
