Saluting the heroes of the SA economy

IN A closely contested race, NamITech beat its competitors to the winning post in the large manufacturing sector of the NafcocJCCI - Standard Bank Gauteng Exporter of the Year Award, also winning the overall prize. Patricia Simeons accepted the award at a glittering function in Johannesburg last Thursday. The company operates in the mobile communications technology sector and in four years has grown exports, as a percentage of total turnover, by 35%. Export marketing major Capespan was judged tops in the Western Cape competition which was held on the same day in Cape Town. See also page 9.
