South African Airways Cargo has uplifted some 80 tonnes of broadcast and media equipment for the Cricket World Cup, 90% of it from the UK. According to specialist media logistics organisation Cargo Marketing International (CMI) managing director Nick Miller: “Although South African Airways is an official sponsor of the Cricket World Cup, there was no compulsion to use their cargo services for the media freight. We chose to do so wherever possible, because of the frequency and capacity of their flights, and the reach of their African network.”
