On 19 March 2019, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Committee on Safeguards informed that on 01 and 04 March 2019, the Russian Federation initiated two safeguard investigations on imports into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union: one on microwave ovens, classifiable in tariff subheadings 8516.50, and another on imports of welded tubes of stainless steel, classifiable in tariff subheadings 7306.40.20, 7306.40.80, 7306.40.80, 7306.61.10 and 7306.69.10.
Philippines safeguard on clear and tinted float glass
On 13 March 2019, the WTO’s Committee on Safeguards informed that on 19 February 2019 the Philippines initiated a safeguard investigation on clear and tinted float glass, classifiable in tariff subheadings 7005.29.90 (clear float glass), 7005.21.90 (tinted float glass) and 7005.10.90 (reflective glass).
