The Transport Forum will place predictive analytics in the road freight industry under the spotlight when it meets for its next event on Thursday, June 5.

Hosted with Ctrack, the discussion gathering at Randpark Golf Club will include a host of industry exports, including several thought leader representatives from the telematics company.

Ctrack managing director, Anees Naicker, will open proceedings with a talk titled, ‘The power to predict – setting the tone for data-enable fleet management’, followed by an independent economist, Elize Kruger.

After her analysis of ‘Macroeconomic trends shaping the industry’, based on Ctrack’s Transport and Freight Index, the Transport Forum will be addressed by the following confirmed speakers: Craig Alexander, head of Central Support at Ctrack; Llewellyn Richardson, technology executive at Virtualscape; Christiaan Storm, head of Software and Data at Ctrack; Bradley Visagie, sales manager at Optix; and Chantal Van Heerden, sales manager at Alliance Partners.

Respectively they will focus on the following topics: ‘Car and truck hijackings – using data to identify trends and enhance awareness’; ‘How telematics data ensures and predicts regulatory compliance in mining’; ‘Using predictive insights to manage costs and improve operational control’; ‘How camera data supports proactive risk management and safety’; and ‘How partner and market data drives smarter, more efficient decision-making’.

Transport Forum’s ‘Power to Predict’ event will also have a competition where participants can win one of five tickets to an exclusive breakfast in July with Springbok legends Pieter-Steph du Toit, Handré Pollard and RG Snyman.
