The choice for companies

wanting to move less than

truck load (LTL) consignments

to over-border destinations is

widening.

“South Africa is well positioned

with the road network to service

and supply

the mining,

agricultural,

and other

industries in

Mozambique,”

says CFR

Freight

road freight

manager Guy

Grossmith.

The road

freight

division

complements CFR’s sea and air

consolidation services.

“CFR Freight has been

operating as a strictly neutral

NVOCC for over 25 years,

offering LCL and FCL ocean

freight services to the forwarding

and clearing industry.

In an effort to create an

intermodal offering to our

clients, an airfreight

division

was added

in 2001

and

was followed by warehousing

solutions, under the name of

ZacPak, in 2010.

In 2016, we added road

freight consolidation services

for cross-border cargo, for both,

cargo received in our CFR LCL

services from overseas and for

South African exports of locally

manufactured products,” he says.

Destinations in Mozambique

include Maputo, Beira and Tete.

The company has the network

and experience required to

overcome the challenges

of clearing cargo – and

particularly consolidated

cargo – at the border.

“We work with our

customers in order

to understand the

challenges that they

face in delivering their

consignments to their

customers in Mozambique,”

he says.

CAPTION

South Africa

is well

positioned

with the road network

to service and

supply the mining,

agricultural, and

other industries in

Mozambique.
