SOUTH AFRICAN Express has increased its daily service between Johannesburg and Richards Bay from four return flights to five between Monday and Friday. Two return flights on Saturday and Sunday are also provided.
The new service will originate in Richards Bay at 06:30, arriving at Johannesburg at 08:00. A late afternoon service will depart from Johannesburg at 17:30.
The schedule will initially be operated by a Hawker Siddley 748 aircraft for a period of 10 weeks. Thereafter the DeHavilland Dash 8-300 series which the airline operates will be placed on the route.
The aircraft offer limited cargo space, but the additional service means an increase in capacity in this respect.
Metavia Airlines withdrew its Richards Bay service at the end of last year.
