Registration Licensing and Accreditation (RLA) Update Letter

On 10 September 2021, SARS will implement an additional enhancement to the Registration, Licensing and Accreditation (RLA) system.

This implementation will allow certain client types to renew their licences using the RLA work page on eFiling for the first time. Clients who are already registered on RLA and need to renew their licences by the expiry date can now do so from the comfort of their home, using their PC or laptop, instead of visiting a branch during the busy December period. Licences that expire on 31 December 2021 can be renewed via eFiling from 1 December 2021 and we urge you to renew your licence before it becomes inactive, which will result in the cancellation of your licence and the need to reapply for a new one.

A re-registration process for clearing agents will be available on eFiling from October 2021. Until now, the RLA system has only been available for new registrants. However, SARS will be allowing current client types to migrate to RLA, starting with clearing agents.
