In a Government Gazette dated 05 December 2011 the Department of Energy, on behalf of the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa), published a notice in terms of the Gas Regulator Levies Act, and the Petroleum Levies Act. Nersa proposes a 7.8% increase. The increased levy will be payable from 01 April 2012 to 31 March 2013. An invitation has been extended to all interested parties to submit their representation to the Chief Financial Officer of Nersa. No closing date was indicated.
