Prohibited, Restricted and Counterfeit Goods List

In recent months we have published a number of amendments to the “Prohibited, Restricted and Counterfeit Goods List – Imports and Exports”, which resulted in a number of requests from readers to access to the List.

As a reminder we publish this year’s amendments and the link to the list below:

  • 02 August 2021 – Amendment was made to tariff heading 49.01 – The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) permit is not required for the tariff heading.
  • 22 July 2021 – Amendment was made to tariff heading 0106.49, which requires that goods now need to be detained for Plant Inspector.
  • 31 May 2021 – Amendment was made to tariff subheading 2902.30 – Tolune. An ITAC import and an export permit is now required.
  • 20 April 2021 – Amendments were made to tariff headings 1604 and 1605, not for trade without National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) approval, for both import and export.
