IT’s all about peace of mind for the tourist about to slap down a credit card for an Irma Stern painting, a delicate piece of pottery or even a huge and humble hand-carved giraffe. Cape Town forwarder Adrian Schultz is making it his business to ensure those fond purchases arrive in one piece at the other end of the globe.
Schultz, director of Paarden Island-based Econo Freight, refers to this lucrative pursuit as a “Business-to-Person” service, part and parcel of the company’s matrix which also includes domestic and international household moves, business-to-business exports and imports - all staffed by dedicated personnel specialising solely in their specific area of expertise.
Since initiating an earnest focus into the “Business-to-Person” concept three months ago it has grown at least 30% and Schultz is convinced the sky’s the limit.
Econo Freight has introduced to upmarket shopping malls, tourist agencies and select hotels a leaflet, Tourist and Curio Express, pointing to the many benefits of the company’s worldwide shipping service.
