Outward Selling Mission to Moscow, Russia - Invitation

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) extended an invitation to apply to participate in an Outward Selling Mission (OSM) to PRODEXPO, Russia, Moscow, which is scheduled to take place from 10 to 14 February 2020.

The objective of this mission is to facilitate access for South African value-added products and services into the Russian market. PRODEXPO is the largest annual specialized exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe. For more than 20 years, it has determined the development of the domestic food industry. Over the years of its existence, the PRODEXPO exhibition has played an important role in stimulating the food industry. The PRODEXPO trade show contributes to promoting high-quality foodstuffs to the global market.

The deadline for submission of applications forms is 18 October 2019.

The targeted sector for this mission includes:

·     Wine; and

·     Companies will be screened and selected in line with the EMIA guidelines and market requirements. 

For the approved companies, the dti will provide:

·     Accommodation (bed and breakfast only)

·     An economy-class return airfare up to a maximum of R17,000 (Depending on the size of the entity).
