On the seas since 1921

THE ITALIAN flag line, Ignazio Messina, has operated regular liner services since 1921 - initially with a service to North Africa, then expanding across the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia, East Africa and South Africa, and then to Egypt and West Africa after the 2nd World War. The fleet currently comprises 17 owned vessels in addition to the chartered ships - all specialised ro-ro/container and full container vessels.
