There’s no quick-fix when it
comes to implementing onestop
borders, says Maputo
Corridor Logistics Initiative
CEO Barbara Mommen.
“If one looks at the Maputo/
South Africa situation then
one realises how complex
it is. We have been working
towards establishing a 24-
hour operation that is also
a one-stop border post for
several years, but it has not yet
happened.”
She said while essentially
the governments of the
countries involved had to
implement the one-stop border,
the MCLI was a major driver
in lobbying stakeholders to
push for this.
