On 04 September 2024, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an update to the “Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports List”.
According to the update, an International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) Import Permit is no longer required for tariff heading 4911 “Printed Books, Newspapers, Pictures and Other Products of the Printing Industry; Manuscripts, Typescripts and Plans: Other Printed Matter, including Printed Pictures and Photographs”.
