Nigeria is introducing a
single window platform
for the automation and
integration of export
procedures in order to
diversify the economy.
The platform is in
response to dwindling
oil revenue and the
government’s objective
of achieving a “Zero Oil
Economy”.
The Nigerian Export
Promotion Council (NEPC)
is working with the
Nigerian Customs Services
(NCS) to develop the
Nigerian Trade Hub, which
is presently managed by
customs, according to the
executive director of NEPC,
Olusegun Awolowo.
He says the first group
of 35 NEPC staff has
completed training on
the Nigeria Integrated
Customs Information
System (NICIS), with a
second intake due to start
training soon.
