Software solutions company
Easyclear has recorded pleasing
growth in KwaZulu Natal this
year, largely on the back of heavy
investment in road and port
infrastructure which has upped
freight volumes to the region,
according to
the company’s
general manager,
Michael
Henning.
“The
International
Monetary Fund’s
recent projection
that the
agricultural and
commodities sectors are growing as
prices are on the rise adds impetus
to this. Naturally, increased freight
moving through the ports creates
opportunities for new entrants to
the clearing and forwarding market
and generates growth for existing
agents.”
Henning said that this meant
agents needed to up their
competitiveness, which has made
them more aware of the need
to provide improved and more
transparent due diligence with their
customers.
“This has provided a growth
opportunity for
us and we have
improved our
financial modules
to meet additional
client demands,”
he said, pointing
out that the new
upgrade provided
a comprehensive
disbursement
module to manage creditors’
invoices and accruals automatically
with little or no intervention.
“This allows for better cash flow
management and reporting,”
Henning said.
He added that Easyclear software
was supported by qualified and
knowledgeable staff.
