The Federation of East and
Southern African Road
Transport Associations
(Fesarta) is set to launch
a new website in 2012, its
executive director Barney
Curtis told FTW.
“This site is the first
step in the new direction
that Fesarta is taking. We
have joined forces with
3SMedia to allow us to
grow our impact in the
region we service. Through
the infrastructure and
other support it gives us it
allows us to do things we
were not able to do under
the organisation’s existing
structure,” said Curtis.
He said the new site would
be user-friendly and would
be a valuable tool to the
industry.
In March the organisation
will hold a first-of-its-kind
Trucker’s Forum that will
bring together role-players
from across the industry to
workshop five key problems
currently being experienced.
“This will not just be
another conference,” he said.
“It is essential that after
the workshop there is an
outcome and solution
tabled on the critical
problems raised.”
