The Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC) has announced a number of key appointments and management changes as part of its five-year strategy to reach 30 million tons by 2016. New positions are those of commercial director and port harbour master. Johann Botha has been appointed MPDC’s new commercial director. He has been involved in ports since 1984, holding a number of positions in the port of Durban. Henk Wester, the new harbour master, has been at sea for more than 30 years.
