By way of a reminder, there are four elements to the South African Revenue Service (Sars) New Customs Acts Programme (NCAP) phased implementation, namely Reporting of Conveyances of Goods (RCG), Customs Sufficient Knowledge test (CSK), Declaration Processing Systems (DPS), and Registration, Licensing & Accreditation (RLA).
Of the four elements, on the Sars website two elements are active, whilst DPS and RLA will be rolled out in the future.
The updates for 2019 for RCG and CSK are as follows.

• 06 February - Update on Automated Part-shipment Management at land border posts
• 25 January - Reporting requirements; Reporting of Conveyances and Goods – External Policy; and Removal of goods - External Policy
• 24 January - Update on Go-Live of Reporting of Conveyances and Goods (RCG): Phase 2A and Production release of Declaration Processing System (DPS)
• 18 January - New date for introduction of automated Part-Shipment Management at land border posts
Customs Sufficient Knowledge (CSK)
No updates for 2019.
