JUST APPOINTED to the board as a director of EGL Eagle Global Logistics is Rob Nethercott, a well-known face and name in the Kwa Zulu Natal forwarding fraternity. Nethercott started his freight career with Freight Services in 1978 as a trainee in operations and then moved into sales from 1989 with Renfreight where he was promoted to sales manager, then commercial manager. In 2000 Nethercott started Maersk Logistics in Durban, and moved to EGL in June last year as regional manager which, he says, has been a challenging and rewarding career move.
