Namibia’ second airport terminal open for business

Namibian president, Hage Geingob, officially opened a new R84-million terminal and a runway at Ondangwa Airport, the second biggest airport in the north of the country.

Addressing guests at the launch on Friday, Geingob said he expected that the new terminal and runway would establish a new benchmark of functional efficiency and operational safety for airports in the country.

"It also exemplifies our intent as a nation to build world-class infrastructure. I have no doubt that this terminal will fulfil the expectations we have from it and make us all feel very proud," he said.

Geingob also officially opened the new R420-million Ruacana-Omakange road which links to the airport.
