AIR SEYCHELLES has upgraded cargo capacity on the Mahe - Johannesburg route with the replacement of its limited cargo capacity B757 with a B767.
The aircraft offers four pallet and four container positions. Including bulk loaded cargo this accounts for approximately 18 tons of freight per flight, a far cry from the average of 5,5 tons achieved previously, m.d. of Aviation G.S.A. Ted Mayne told FTW.
Seychelles remains heavily reliant on imports of all kinds from South Africa, while perishable cargo accounts for the majority of the cargo exported.
