MOL wins ‘Green top runner’ race

JUST SELECTED as one of Japan’s leading companies in environmental management is the shipping line, Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL).
The line was chosen as one of the “Green Top Runner 68” companies in 2003 by the Sustainability Management Rating Institute - an affiliate of the non-profit organisation, the Sustainable Management Forum.
These, said MOL president, Kunio Suzuki, were leading companies in Japan that have developed and implemented advanced environmental management systems that exemplify the country’s commitment to protecting the environment and fostering sustainable development.
This sustainability management rating evaluation is seen as one of the indices of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Japan.
