In April, Mercedes-Benz SA (MBSA) exported over 10 000 new vehicles through the Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) facilities in East London – and ranked as the biggest exporter amongst the country’s export carmakers.
This was confirmed by the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) invoiced figures for April, which showed that MBSA exported the highest volume of new vehicles of the six OEM exporters.
In the first quarter, according to company stats, it had exported a total of 25 860 MB W205 C-Class vehicles through this port and 10 674 in April.
