Logistics solutions in focus

JENNY MURPHY has been appointed logistics solutions manager at forwarding major EGL, based in Pomona.
With 27 years experience in shipping, she brings to the newly created position an impressive CV from both a client and industry perspective.
After managing the shipping department for an importer for 15 years, she moved into liner shipping sales with Safmarine and more recently freight forwarding where she held senior sales positions with Heneways, Renfreight and Kintetsu.
During her stint with Renfreight, now part of Safcor Panalpina, she was the top sales person for two years in a row, achieving new business sales in excess of R2-million.
In her new portfolio at EGL, she will focus on developing the import book market. "It's all about adding value and working smarter in partnership with the client to create a win-win scenario," says Murphy.
