Cyber criminality is an all-too familiar occurrence in the logistics industry.
The most crippling in a local context was the attack on Transnet in July which paralysed the state-owned logistics company, bringing port activity to a standstill.
CMA CGM and MSC have been among the other high-profile victims – while in 2017, Danish logistics giant Maersk is said to have lost over $300 million in revenue alone following a cyberattack.
