Logistics group adds European muscle

Perishables freight and logistics company, GoReefers – part of the GoGlobal group – is set to open GoReefers Europe to complement the GoReefers office in the United Kingdom.

“We want to make an impression in the European market and our customers need to see that we are able to handle goods from the origin door to the destination door,” said Tim Cotton, European representative for the GoGlobal group.

He told FTW the perishables market to Europe was a “very stable one” and while GoReefers didn’t want to upset the stable apple cart, so to speak, growth could be achieved through “challenging the norm” and introducing innovation. “We are exploring and implementing integrated systems that will improve efficiencies for both supplier/grower and consignees.”

He said the company’s main aim was to be at the forefront of innovation within the supply chain. The company had seen a shift in how business was negotiated and how suppliers wanted to work with their long-standing customers, he added.

“It is important that GoReefers has the tools of its trade in place to accommodate these changes and improve the communication between all parties,” said Cotton.
