Locally-based owner’s rep markets Pro Line

MULTI-PURPOSE specialist Pro Line has raised its profile in South Africa following the recent appointment of Asmus Seubert as owner’s representative based in Johannesburg. His brief is to increase business and market the line’s benefits through closer association with its client base. Pro Line caters mainly for breakbulk and project cargoes between the east coast of South America, southern Africa and the Far East using owned tonnage in both directions. Its regular port of call in South Africa is Durban. “One of our strong advantages is the flexibility of the service,” says Seubert. “We can call at any port on inducement and our ships are well geared for project cargo. “We will also charter in on demand. If the cargo is there, we will find the vessel.” A familiar name in local shipping circles, Seubert spent four years with Rennies in Durban and Cape Town from 1995 - 1998 looking after breakbulk and reefer shipments before joining Pro Line in Hamburg. The line is an affiliate of the Cremer Group which has world-wide interests in trade, principally agricultural commodities.
