Line going on port purchase spree

The Danish shipowners AP Moeller-Maersk is a pretty determined animal when it comes to growing the business.

The latest on its acquisition trail are Greece’s two biggest ports of Piraeus (about the size of Durban) and Thessaloniki – as these get put up for grabs by embattled Greek Premier, Alexis Tsipras, as he struggles to find vital funds to save the country from getting deeper in the poorhouse.

At least, that’s what Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis is supposed to be telling his eurozone counterparts at a meeting in Brussels tomorrow (Wednesday).
