RAY SMUTS
RONNIE KINGWILL, managing director of Fresh Produce Terminals, has resigned his position to ‘pursue his own business interests and take a break from the demands of the corporate world’.
FPT was established in 2002 following the deregulation of the fruit industry in South Africa and Kingwill was appointed as the
first managing director.
“He played a significant role in positioning FPT as the leading fruit produce terminal company in South Africa and we wish him success with his future plans,” Dr Dawie Ferreira, chairman of the FPT board, said in a letter to all customers.
Danie Maartens, financial director of FPT, will act as MD until the board has identified a suitable replacement for Kingwill.
