The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti), in collaboration with provincial stakeholders, has invited potential small, medium enterprise (SME) exporters to attend its free three-day “Introduction to Exporting Training”.
The training will address (i) Basic concepts of exporting; (ii) The export environment; (iii) Comprehensive export cycle; (iv) Introduction to export marketing; (v) Introduction to export administration and logistics; (vii) Introduction to export finance; (viii) Basic cost and incoterms; (ix) Incentives and financial support available; and (x) Cultural and business ethics about foreign countries.
According to the dti only 50 companies will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Training sessions have been scheduled from 10 to 12 August in Witbank; 17 to 19 August in Pietermaritzburg; 24 to 26 August in Kimberly; 29 to 31 August in Cape Town; 07 to 09 September in Pretoria; 14 to 16 September in Rustenburg; 21 to 23 September in Bloemfontein; and 28 to 30 September in Boksburg.
