BIRKART GLOBISTICS’ airfreight export figures were omitted from the 2002 listing of top IATA agents supplied to FTW. (FTW August 22, 2003). The company did indeed submit its IATA turnover for 2002, R56,58 million, which would have placed it in position number six, the same place as the previous year - one position behind Danzas AEI at R56.91 million and one position ahead of Schenker & Co at R46.43 million. Innovation has been the name of the game at Birkart Globistics which grew market share by setting up a total logistics management solution for its automotive customers, supplying on a door-to-door basis. By exploring new regions and new areas of growth the company has maintained its strong presence among the airfreight elite.
