Inequality in African trade under magnifying glass

Some call it a handshake and some call it an arm wrestle, but when business deals are clinched on the African continent it’s not always equal.

Next Wednesday, this “unequally African conundrum” will dominate discussion at a webinar aiming to address Trade in Services in Africa.

Speakers at the webinar are Francois Fouche, director of Growth Diagnostics at GIBS Business School, and Donald Mackay, director at XA International Trade Advisors.

The webinar on March 23 starts at 10am and will last till 11am.

More specifically, Fouche and Mackay will look at the following issues:

  • Numerous proposed South African laws on employment and investment.
  • How these will place us in breach of our obligations in terms of the SADC Protocol in Services and the World Trade Organization.
  • The implications of governmental decisions, and their impacts on the least expected (and often most vulnerable) members of society.

Sign up for this webinar, brought to you in partnership with Access Bank, to hear the experts discuss how to resolve this “unequally African conundrum”.
