Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) has been fined £120 000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) over a data breach.
According to the ICO, in October last year a Heathrow employee lost a USB memory stick. It was picked up by a member of the public who viewed it and passed it on to a national newspaper. It was not password protected.
Among the available data was personal information of up to 50 Heathrow staff members.
