Handled cargo at Port of Beira shows 12.94% growth

The Port of Beira handled 422 332 tonnes of cargo at its General Cargo Terminal in August – “the highest monthly volume of the year and a clear step forward for our operations”, said concession holder Cornelder de Moçambique.

This shows “strong growth” year-on-year, the concessionaire added.

In August last year, the terminal handled 372 939 tonnes, amounting to a 12.94% year-on-year increase.

“This achievement is the result of the dedication, effort and teamwork of our colleagues together with the trust and collaboration of our partners and clients,” Cornelder de Moçambique said.

“We’re building success and reinforcing the Port of Beira’s position as a leading logistics hub for the region,” the private operator added on LinkedIn.
